IRLA – Write a Book Activity

Okay, your books are done and graded.  Tell me about the PROCESS of writing these books.  Did you enjoy the activity?  Name something specific that you learned while creating these books.  If you were to do this activity, what would you do differently?  What would you now add or delete from your book?

I would have done a report about the book I did. fun part about it was making the book, because it is hands on.

    • Doing another book based on baseball would be a great idea. You could do a whole sports series of books.

    • Even though you didn’t like the way the book looked in the end, it was still a great experience. YOU could do this on your own — the next one would be even better because now you understand what to do and what to be careful of when sewing and gluing.

  8. I did enjoy the activity. it expressed my feelings in my book. I would be satisfyed with my story and the details in it. I would add more good details to it. I did not use similies/ metaphors in my story. i think that i did a good job with my story.

  10. i kinda enjoyed it well i mean it was beter than doing real work.i learned that if you cut the corners to short it will show cardbored and look like crap so you will have to color it with a sharpie. if i was to do this again i would leave some extra fabric so i would not have to color it with a sharpie. i wanted to write about something that was cool and fun to write about. so i rembered something i did a long time ago
